Hello everyone, I have been working with a savage lrp in 6.5 Creedmoor for little over a year now and have had amazing results with the 123gr amax in reformed .308 win Norma brass... I have been using accurate 4350 as my powder choice, but varget has steadily been whispering to me from my reloading shelf... I've had great results using it in my savage .308... the reformed Norma brass doesn't have as much volume as hornady brass, but I love Norma brass as it is tough as hell and consistent... I loaded up several cases starting at 35gr and up to 39.5gr in half grain increments. Every single group shot right at 1/2 moa or better and seemed to shoot very well... BUT, the 37.5gr charge was " a freaking laserbeam." Here is a picture of the different 3 shot groups. All groups were shot at 100yds!

Great shooting. Great report. I have a case of 6.5 Creedmoor Prime Ammo which utilizes Norma brass. I will try your load when I shoot mine up. What primer are you using?

Have you chronographed this load? I would be interested in velocity and SD. That is an amazing group.

I am using WLR primers and I have not chronographed it yet, I plan to soon when I make it back to the range when a shooting buddy brings his crony along... I used 42gr of the accurate 4350 in the same cases to get similar results but not quite as good as this one... I also have weight sorted the brass and want to compare it to other cases.

Thanks for the information. I am looking forward to seeing what the chronograph data looks like

Out of my Ruger rifle the 6.5 Creedmoor Prime ammo with Norma Brass and 130 gr Norma bullets:

Velocity 2831
Velocity Variation 17.40 fps

It remains supersonic to way past 1000 and is only 28 MOA down at 1000 yards. I will have a case of Norma brass to work with so that is why I am interested in this load. I wonder if there is any significant difference in the case volume of your formed cases and the Norma factory... It would be interesting to figure that out.

I weighed 10 of my sorted cases of my reformed Norma brass, it weighed between 162-164gr. I hope this helps with your prime cases.
