Looking for advice on a scope for my 6.5 grendel AR. It’s a 24” SS barrel, will usually be running with a suppressor. Just shooting paper from 100-500+ yards from a bipod. Thank you in advance for any advice. Haven’t picked a pet load yet, but it will be target loads.
I’ve got a Vortex Viper PST 4-16 Gen 1 on my Grendel AR. Works well and no complaints. If I was doing it again I would likely go with a Tract Scope. A little more money, but I believe it’s a little better optically. How much money are you willing to spend? That makes a big difference in what I’d recommend.
If you are interested in a Vortex, Burris, Bushnell, or Nightforce optic, get with a mil/LEO/instructor friend. It’s well worth it.
My Grendel has this on it, I really like it. But I’ve only had it to the 100 yard line. It’s first focal plane. Well under $500 OTD @ Cabela’s
I actually am doing something kinda similar myself, I recently got a 7.62x39 (6.5 grendels parent cartridge) upper for my SBR ar-15 and I'm going to put my current scope from my 270 on it and buy a nicer one for my 270 later this month with that "extra" check lol. Scopes should be in my sig.
Well you pulled the trigger too fast. Should check out Natchez for the Weaver 3-15 Tactical. $499 for a scope that cost twice that when it was released. That is what I run on my Grendel gas gun.
