6.8 SPC availability

Not very... although I see it occasionally.

However, it's far to expensive to really consider for the average person IMO.

I can regularly find the Hornaday loading in 6.8 with I think an AMAX bullet. It's out there, and fairly cheap (~18/box). Also, the other place to check out is silver state (armory?/ammunition?) Thier website rather sucks, but I've heard good things about thier ammo. I think it retails for about $12/box which while more expensive than .223 makes it close to parity with .308.

A couple places local to me carry it reliably, though not in large quantity. For 6.8mm in quantity, I've ordered from Midway USA a couple times. They're usually out of a lot of the options they list, but for basic flat range sort of ammo, they seem to be reliable.

Both gunshops within 20 miles of me carry the Remington 6.8SPC offerings, at prices comparable to basic US-made brass cased 7.62x39 loads.

I see it at the shows in pretty good quantities for $18 or less. Not sure if it's selling or what they have had sitting around since the onset.

Besides the shows though I only see it at one other show in my area.

IMHO it's a hand load round.
