And the news media fail the 1% test every time. The Rathergate scandal is only an example. Remember when NBC did a story on Ford gas tanks blowing up? They tried to duplicate it for TV, and finally put model rocket engines on the gas tank. Remember the CNN-TIME special on the US using nerve gas in Viet Nam?
CNN once ran video of the "comparative" effects of "regular" rifles and "assault weapons". The "regular" guns had NO effect on cinder blocks, while the "assault weapons" pulverized them... not surprising, since the "regular" rifles weren't actually fired AT the cinder blocks. They were excoriated so savagely, that they were actually forced to run a "clarification" to their "story".

The difference between the average media story on gun control and the average denial of the Holocaust in a revisionist newsletter is solely a matter of the monetary resources expended respectively to produce them.

They don't limit their lies to gun control, though -- they'll produce garbage anytime they think it will advance their left-wing agenda.

True, but unlike the major media, I choose to limit my comments to matters about which I have actual knowledge! :D

I could additionally note that most media stories on military subjects are as factually informative on that subject as the third Flash Gordon serial is on the subjects of astronautics, astronomy, epidemiology and cybernetics...

They are not interested in informing us. They are interested in pushing their political and social agenda.
Remember Walter Cronkite?

In the CNN-TIME story, they stated the people involved in the nerve gas incident "wore M17 masks like this one" -- and showed a picture of an M9 mask.

They edited interviews, so people seemed to say things that were impossible. For example, one person said he "saw and smelled the gas cloud." He was obviously talking about teargas, because no one ever saw or smelled nerve gas and lived to tell the story.
