My local dealer has a S&W 642 + CT Laser Grips for a bit over $500.

    Ripoff, or a good deal?

A local dealer has them for 539.00. That is a brand new one. I have seen them for 579.00 at some dealers new.
That is not a bad price if it is new and you want one.

It's not a rip off and not a great price it's about what you would expect to pay. In the last 60 days I paid $409 for the gun and $229 for the grips so from my point of view it was a good deal I'd get it and enjoy it.

Its not a rip off by any means~! :scrutiny:

Not a "smoking deal", but 'bout average from what I've seen. I sell 'em NIB
    everyday for $549 + tax. ;) :D

After leaving this thread I went to my local gun store's online gun rack and found a 442 NIB never fired but selling used for $325. I'm leaving to pick it up now. This is a great price!!!

Story goes a woman bought it last night took it home and for some reason returned it the next day unfired. WOW what luck. NOW if I didn't have to wait another 30 days to DROS it, it would be nice.

Just got the 442. Here's the story. A woman buys the gun, waits the 10 days, takes it home and 3 days later returns it. Unfired. 1 box of ammo. The manager says thinks she was going to do something stupid and couldn't go through with it. Sounds like she might have been going through Chemo by the story. Glad she had the sense to return the gun.

I'd almost like to meet her and give her a hug. Not just because I got a great price on the gun either.

    Sad story but happy ending.

    Wait A Minute Folks~!

The original poster is talking about a NIB S&W 642 with Crimson Trace
Laser Grips~! You folks apparently didn't read the topics headline?

    I have NEVER-EVER seen a NIB S&W model 642 with CT grips for $359.
Heck fire, I get that much just for the gun; w/o the Crimson Trace grips.;)

I might pick up a 642 this weekend at the gun show if the price is right. Sout hFlorida seems to be real proud of their S&Ws and don't let them go for that little. It's either the 642, SP101 or SA1911 GI issue. We shall see.
