Your welcome.

.HHmm, different powders smell different, if it's fresh I wouldn't worry about it.
From a different site
You can tell if a can of powder is good or bad by giving its contents a sniff test. If the smell ranges from no detectable odor to resembling alcohol, ether or acetone (from its solvent content), it is okay. If you get a terribly unpleasant, acidic odor that fries your nasal passages, extreme deterioration has taken place. The odor is difficult to describe, but my nose says the experience is quite a bit like taking a strong whiff of the fumes produced by muriatic acid.

Side thought (Saw your 30 carbine thread)
You might try emailing LOVEX to see if they have any .30 Carbine data, D037.1 might be slow enough to use in the .30 carbine, but also might be a little to fast burning for that round.

Can you get Accurate #5 in your area?
I use 8 grains with a 110gr bullet from Berry's

Hope this helps.
The only manual I've to ui and with data is Lee's Modern Reloading #2

Update as promised, Lovex D037.1 is the ticket for Tokarev. 10.7 grains under an 85gr FMJ gives very positive function, I'm actually thinking of bringing it down to 10 grains to reduce the energy hitting the buffle. I have to say I've been impressed with Lovex powders so far, they are very clean burning and consistent, and they come at literally half the price of anything else locally.

Thanks for the update, glad it worked out for you.
Probably my first good guess in 10 years.:)
