Has anyone subjected 7.62x39 loads to the FBI tests? I have already seen the box o truth and Brassfetcher's tests, anyone else?

Even better! I'm sure they are, but are Brown bear/Wolf SP/HP good for humane kills at ~100-150 yards or did you use premium ammo?

I used handloads, with either Sierra 125gr or Hornady 123gr bullets.

I have read accounts on this board of folk using Russian SP and HP, with mixed results. Word was that the 154gr SP shed its jacket quickly and didn't retain much integrity but did the job OK, while the HP was variable and never really opened up like a controlled-expansion bullet.

I'd have no qualm about using Brown Bear 122grSPs on the small Texas deer, but I'd probably want something higher quality for deer much over 140lbs.

Froom everything I've read the 8m3 bullet is the only one to meet FBI specs.
