Where can I get some lead bullets? I prefer gas checked.

I used lead GC bullets from lee molds designed for sks and others for 303 and they worked quite well. Those molds are inexpensive, but if you have no desire to cast your own you can generally get them by posting in various want to buy forums. I never used commercial bullets for my mosins, but i'm sure midway and others have them in .312 + diameters.

You do need to slug your barrel and use a bullet that is at minimum .001 larger. The Russian Mosins for one are famous for a large range of bore diameters. I can get accurate results with .309 GC bullets made for a 30 cal in mine a lot of reloaders can't however. With this size of bullets there are a LOT more options available with less cost for the reloader. I have tried lead bullets sized in.311, .312, and .313 with no better results but it depends on your bore size.
