I saw some 7.62x54r Polish ammo recently and was wondering if anyone here had experience with it. It seems to be priced reasonably but isn't worth if it there is a history of problems. I don't have any information other than it is 146gr. Checked 7.62x54r.net and didn't see any flags for the Polish ammo they listed.

Thanx

I have about 4 cans of the 1986 polish ammo and I really like it. It seems accurate and and I don't get the sticky bolt like I do with czech ammo. If the price is right I say snatch it up. Mark

If you are just cruising for ammo to buy, Southern Ohio Guns had some very fine Bulgarian ammo for sale recently. It is the finest surplus 7.62x54r ammo that I have ever bought. It is in lead sealed cans on black stripper clips. It looked like new when I opened the can. Brass cased, no corrosion, beautiful. It's not on their website, you have to call them.

Geojap - I had already checked there and gotten that info and didn't see any issues listed. If I knew what year this was I'd feel better about it. I'm putting together a SOG order now anyway so I'll give them a call and see about the Bulgarian. Already have some and it did not come on strippers though. What was the pricing?

The feed back on the Polish sounds good so I'll see if I can get more info on it.

Thanx

Two years ago I bought 2 cases of Polish 7.62x54R LB. Now I am regretting that I didn't buy at least 10 cases. The Polish LB is the most accurate and consistent surplus ammo I have used in my m39s and 91/30. I would buy as much as I can if I find a source.
