870 barrel question.

On an 870 super magnum, is the barrel the same diameter from the end of the chamber to the choke?

You mean the bore or the outside?

The outside tapers toward the muzzle.
The bore is the same diameter all the way.

There is the chamber that is big, then the Forcing Cone that is smaller and tapers into bore diameter.
And that doesn't change until it gets to the built-in choke, or choke tube.
