I have recently accuired a double action 922 H&R .22 revolver.
It has a 9 shot cylinder cylinder capacity, fixed sights, a rounded barrel and single piece plastic grips. the serial number is #L2286 I was hopeing to find the year it was manufactured and the approximate value of it. Any help would be appriciated.

Check out www.gunbroker.com to see what they are going for.

I would say somewhere between $85 and $150.

We have one at the house and they are not very pretty and ours is prone to light strikes.

I think H&R were made from the early 1900's to about 1980. My friend actually collects them. +1 on the above value, I never seen one go for over $150.

Just looked. Cheapest is $90.00 - the highest is $189.00, more than I can buy a NIB Heritage Rough Rider with 2 cylinders($160.00)which is comparable to the H&R if not better. By the time the $90.00 gun gets to you it is a $135-150.00 gun factoring in shipping & FFL. Where is the "good deal"? Why anyone would pay these used prices is beyond me.
