147gr HSTs in my Sig P239.

As an aside; I'm always amused when someone suggests the hydrashocks. I know they're still a great round, but the newer HSTs are much better.

No. They don't function reliably in a CZ.

Q

Maybe your CZ, but they've worked fine in three of my CZs (P01, PCR, and stainless 75B).

They work perfectly in my PCR as well.

147gr-Definitive Yes!

147gr is MUCH better then it used to be. I use Winchester LE Bonded 147gr +P and Federal LE Tactical HST 147+P. The heavier Bullet Penetrates Better then 124gr and 115gr. The Expansion is just Awesome! Bullet Technology has sure Improved.

The Best to All!

These days, I take what I can get ... and it's not easy to get much of anything in self-defense rounds for either 9mm or .380 in my neck of the woods.

I use 147 in most of my pistols but not all of them. Really depends on what each pistol likes.

My Baby Eagle loves the stuff.

My Walther PPS thus far has not been a fan of the 147 HP I've fed it. May want to try a different brand, but it seems to be happier with a lighter grain.

I dont worry much about which quality SD ammo I use. I dont always carry a 9mm but when I do I prefer Corbon DPX 115 gr +P JHP.
Then again I have a bunch of Winchester Ranger Bonded JHP 147 gr and would feel quite comfortable with it also. Capacity and placement are key.
