9mm Carbine Ammo?

Any +P JHP ammo of medium to heavy weight should be just the ticket for a carbine. With the extra barrel length of a carbine I choose to avoid the 115g stuff. Instead, I use 124g and 147g +P Gold Dots in my Sub 2000 with great success.

The 124g ammo pumps out 1350 fps and the 147g is more like 1200 fps. This is really good performance for the 9mm and I can't imagine that you could find a round that could gain very much more than just these. I buy the GA Arms reloaded ammo, its very cheap performance ammo at only $12-13 per 50.

I snagged some 124 grn +P+ Black Talons, several years ago, before the price got ridiculous...Didn't buy them because they were Black Talons, but more because they were +P+... We chrono'd a few outa my Hi-Point carbine at a bit under 1500 fps...If you can find a similar "modern" loading, I'd try them out.
