I'm noticing that my seating depths are all over the place. I'm wondering of the relatively flat Berry's 124 gr. HP is not making good contact with the concave die. What do you seasoned types use in that application?

To the extent the equipment allows, I match nose profile of bullet to that of the seating stem. Where matches are less than ideal, I use the one that allows the least wobble when pressed together by hand-stem in one hand, bullet in other. It's usually obvious.

I just called RCBS. They are send me a flat profile seating plug for FREE. Love It!
I'm not sure if that's the answer or not. RCBS seems to think it'll help.

I put seating stem in my Lee die upside down. This makes it perfectly flat.

Great idea Helg. I'll have to give that a try when I use those style bullets.
