That's probably the most "bubba" sight arrangement I've seen in a while. Nothing like having a longarm with the sight radius of a pistol.

Must be a really long pistol, as the sight is at the end of the forarm, past the bolt handle. ;)

That's not the Master Piece Arms MPA 971 is it? The ones I've seen in the ads don't look so crappy.

    No, it's not.

THIS is the MPA 971. Looks a lot nicer, better finished. Looks like that is a cheap rip-off.

Ahh...that looks gross. ive seen the upper online going for 185. The dissected FAL lower, a travesty, i dont know how much that would go for. And the great spot wields and sheet metal work. Hell ya i would pay 1500.;)

    185

Just curious, but where did you see these uppers going for 185? 'Cuz the MPA uppers are going for 400-ish and the Rhineland arms oned for about the same...

I would recommend not letting a bad experience turn into a vendetta.

    hmmm

    Mephisto,
thanks. But that's the one I referred to, and its not there. searched for FAL, MAC, and suomi, then looked thru every page: not there.

    Curious.

Still looking for the 'much-less-than-400-bucks' style.

What's really annoying is the way this dealer writes his auctions... This is just another example of him selling something sketchy. He is saying it's one thing, with illustrations of what he is saying it is... but has a photo of something completely different, and utterly crappy. This guy is a con-man.

what it says on the auction page that this hideous contraption is the only prototype for RPB USA's MPA-971, which I linked to.

I'm a little curious as to how this guy got it, and why he thinks he'll get $1500 for it, even it if is a "prototype".

Unless he has ANY affiliation with RPB USA or Master Piece Arms, I'd be very cautious with this guy. It looks like he just cobbled it together himself. It could very well be a poorly designed rip-off, not a "prototype".
