9mm Revolvers

I wish someone would make a 9mm revolver with a proportionally dimensioned cylinder & frame
Taurus did, briefly. It was called the 905IB (Instant Backup) and it had a short cylinder and frame. I had one for a while, great idea, poor execution.

I wish Ruger would chamber its LCR in 9mm.
I second that, they'd sell a ton of them. I like 9mm snubbies but the factory offerings are all too heavy.

How bad were these 905IBs? They must have been significantly smaller than J-frames. I would love to see one.

Someone should come out with a modern copy of a Colt New Line chambered in 9mm. A real small pocket revolver using a potent cartridge... They would sell like hot cakes.

A short cylinder for the 9 mm round in a short frame would require a large investment. Sales for the 940 were slow, so investing in a new revolver is not likely. However, we can dream on.

I really like my (9)42, it shoots like a dream and carries well. The idea of a short cylinder would be great but as long as the bullets fit the bore of the cylinder, it will work well any way. With a shorter cylinder, a bit longer barrel could be used.
