First update since October 5th and nothing to report. No case failures this time--only eight total since June 2023 when this began. Of course when I seat bullets in these cases any new splits will be revealed. I'll let you know.

As I've said in the past, except for pocket uniforming with K&M tool, flash hole deburing, and lightly hand chamfering, I don't monkey around with these cases like I did the 45acp cases. Nor have I ever measured them so I really don't know what has happened to them in the past 17 months.

Why the two firing totals in title? I don't always shoot an entire batch at a single range session.

Also, still firing a middling load...4.5gr Sport Pistol w/115gr RN plated or jacketed @1.235".

Bonus report:

Although I no longer claim to be running my 45acp case test, I am still using those cases and have yet to have a failure in the form of a split. Four more primer pockets no longer hold primers and I have discarded those cases along with eleven previously discarded due to same reason. I don't claim using them 35 times has caused primer pocket problem because I did monkey around with them.
