Perhaps having one pinned next to your holster in the off chance that you accidentally flash your gun would cause the uneducated to not immediately call the police
I think that might be projectingI think you'll find that the people who pin their badge next to their holster "accidentally flash" their gun at every chance they get.
Tell me, Dr. Freud, what am I projecting? My subconcious worries about being found out? Or perhaps I'm trying to hide my inherent attraction to cheap shiny things as a result of being raised by a mixed foster family raccoons and ravens?I think that might be projecting
I think you might find people that consider this are more likely to just be afraid of the consequences for accidentally flashing and/or are new to CCW.
The reason to not have a badge is due to lack of good reasons to have one, full stop. Not a single pro-CCW badge person has formed a real argument for carrying one that isn't based on the idea that you may be mistaken for a cop and therefore treated differently. You even said yourself that you can't think of a good reason to carry one, but for some reason you feel the need to bash the various reasons not to carry one.I think you will find that a lot of these people making up these ridiculous reasons for not using the badge have their own issues
CCW badge........bad idea.
