A CCW badge?

The badge is just a gimic to make money, and to convince fools that they need one. Common sense and a level head will bring you out on top every time.

Why does this keep coming up?
oh, because they keep trying to sell those badges, I guess.

No firearms instructor or law enforcement officer I know of has
ever recommended a civilian carry concealed weapons badge.
The state handgun carry permit law does not require it.

There was one incident, where a shopowner chased robbers out
of his shop with a handgun; officers responding to robbery with
shots fired encountered an armed man in the parking lot who
did not obey their command to drop his weapon; shopkeeper
shot dead. Bad all the way around. Would a civilian CCW badge
have prevented it? Probably not. Would NOT chasing the robbers
after they had left the shop have prevented it? Probably so.
The robbers had left; he had successfully defended himself,
his employees and his shop. Chasing the robbers turned a good
outcome bad.

I have a Handgun Carry Permit in my wallet. I have been walked
through what to do, what not to do, in a self-defense situation.
I donn need no stinking badge.

Some CCW mag. offers a hat with a logo about CCW. Also a bad idea. What part of conceal don't they get?

Except if the cops arrived in the original scenario, you wouldn't have to reach inside your pocket. Just turn your head toward them and say, "See? I'm legal."

Horrible, horrible idea.

"Shoot me, the only logical conclusion is that I'm impersonating you because there's no way you can read the writing on what appears to be a police badge because you're so far away."

Oh, I want those glasses, and the Sea Monkeys, and the
eight foot space ship for my backyard. I looked at those
comic book ads, and never did send off an order. Drat.
Life is fleeting, and there is no going back.
