Is "FAL" Pronounced F-A-L or FAL? I've heard people say both "..an FAL" and "..a FAL".

I'm talking about the rifle.

All this controversy gives me a headache.

The guy from Belgium at Fal-files said its pronounced Fall. Like before winter. Good enough for me.

Besides, I always pronounced it Fall. Therefore, its right and all you "Fal" (rhymes with gal) folks donno what yer talking about.

I could maybe live with eff aye ell, but not the "gal" stuff.

Is the weapon manufactured by "Eff Enn" or by FFFFnnnnn?

It was always an "Eff Ay El" when we started using them 40 years ago. To be specific, it was an "Eff Enn, Eff Ay El".

I'm a simple guy, and FAL (as in "gal") takes less time to say than "F-A-L".

Any word that can be shortened and still retain it's meaning and clarity should be shortened. Life's too short to stumble over acronyms, especially if they spell something neato like FAL.

Problem solved.

Besides, if you were describing the FALfiles website, what would you say? "I went to the Efff Aye Ellll files dot com site last night". Mouthful, ain't it?

This, ladies and gentlemen, is why I should rule the world. I solve the big problems.
