A few friends waiting for me ...

    When I was deployed in Iraq, I invested in some C&R rifles...

    One of the K31s has a really nice tiger striped stock...

    And one of the two M1 Garands I bought appears to be unissued. The metal is perfect, not a scratch on the stock, and the stock is among the most beautiful hardwood stock I've ever seen...

    The wood on the K-31 and M1 are really beautiful.

    Very lucky on the M1 Garand. I got two from CMP and this one is just better than my wildest dreams.

    I bought some ammo, but certainly not enough. I'm kicking myself but I honestly thought that McCain would win and prices would come down b/c the metals futures market was declining
