Well folks, I started a new job in may(was on disability for two years before) and have not had the time to shoot like I used to. The wife practically begged me to take her shooting tomorrow(she loves to shoot, but wont go without me) so I went and checked my stash and lo and behold, I was down to my "reserves" which I never touch. So tonite we sat down and loaded together, and with my son.

They have a favorite load of 3.5gr of AA#2 under a Missouri Bullet 138gr DEWC in a 357 case. My son really loves to shoot this one as its easy to handle and still has a little pop to it(for an 11 year old). My wife prefers this load because she can shoot the caps off soda bottles with it.

The second load is a Missouri Bullet 300gr LTC in 45 colt. I loaded this over 19gr of 2400. This is, of course, an over max loading and should only be attempted in a Ruger Blackhawk or similar firearm.

We also loaded a Missouri Bullet 255gr lswc in 45 colt. This one is loaded over 18.7gr of 2400, as it performs great there. This load is obviously over max also and should carry the same warning as above. I should also mention that with this load I prefer the cowboy #9, the softer alloy. No leading and great accuracy.

The last thing we loaded today is my favorite of all. Its a Missouri Bullet 230gr LRN(softball) loaded over 5.5gr of AA#2. This load is right near max and was worked up from a starting load of 5.0gr. This load will shoot 1.5" groups at 15 yards all day long if I do my part (thats with a 3.5" 1911 too).

All of the loads above used a Winchester LPP or a Tula SPP

Cant wait to get out to tomorrow and blow some stuff up!!

I have really missed it lately, thats for sure. Its been great being back at work again though, so I wont complain too much. I also have to say, that you hit it right on the head. I have always liked reloading as much, sometimes more, than shooting. I have found myself going to the range to shoot ammo, just so I would have a reason to reload.

I feel the same way about reloading. Recently completed a major move. Since I'm not competing in any thing I just set my single stage up. Enjoy reloading on it a lot more so until I get back into competition the Hornady Projector will stay boxed.

Went out and did some blasting today. Between my wife and son they put about 300 rounds of 357 and 45 acp downrange. I burned up some of both and some 45 colt also. Felt great to get out as a family and shoot.
