Note: I may have posted this in a wrong forum, so I'm also posting it here:

Have you noticed that even the most anti-gun/anti-2A folks out there are now saying they are FOR the 2nd Amendment?

Here's why they are saying it.

Here's why the anti 2A folks now all "support" the 2A. CLICK HERE:http://www.thirdway.org/products/21

Download, and read the pdf. file when the link opens!

You need to understand WHY this rhetoric has changed, so you can understand what is happening and help protect our gun rights in the future!

Progressives are seen as anti-gun, anti-Second Amendment, and disrespectful of gun owners. This seven-step strategy memo shows how progressives can retake the Second Amendment while holding true to their principles.
How to lie and (maybe) get away with it. This reads like a sick "Dark Arts" manual and . . . assumes that Americans are stupid.

Yeah, and you can here the top "Progressive" candidates echoing this same official "line" today in races across the country!

They've learned that we are too formidable to oppose straight up, and are being coached how to get into office by repeating these lies, just so they can bring us that "change" that they hint about!

I must admit, they had good, sober and intelligent research leading up to their recommended course of action on gun rights and the 2A issues. Since they can't BEAT us, without first claiming to support us.

Not on MY watch!

Notice how many time he brings up "closing the gunshow loop hole"? We only want to restrict your rights a little bit. Surely we can agree on that? :barf:

Not on my watch either!

For info on such issues as where criminals get their guns, and the effect of increased gun control laws on crime, research the NRA-ILA site. Look for the Articles.

Among the goodies: research was done in the early 1980's on over 1800 inmates at six penitentiaries as to where they obtained their guns, what their weapons of choice were, whether registration would affect them, whether they would prefer to burglarize a home owned by gun owners, ect. The answers are devestating to anti-gun arguments.

It is also pointed out that all of our gun massacres have been in places were guns were banned...the bad guys want as much time as possible to shoot the "sheep" before folks with guns show up.

Another interesting thing...worldwide, everytime gun controls have been increased, crime has risen. Everytime guns control has been relaxed, crime rates have fallen. One example...allowance of concealed carry. Another, Austrailia.

Interestingly, much of the data comes from research studies paid for by anti-gun groups to prove their points...they pick data that supports them, suppress the rest. The NRA went to court to get access to the entire studies.

Ok, if we assume that the article means what it says - that "progressive" candidates will actually stop limiting gun ownership (other than previously convicted violent felons), how is this bad?

Please empty your minds of "but they're lying" before answering this. Both sides lie all the time. I'm convinced I stand a decent chance of winning an election with a platform simply of "I will do my best not to lie to you and I will not philander." Oh, who am I kidding, no one would believe me! :D

Anyhow, how is it bad if both sides started to respect 2A? (Again, assuming it would be true respect and not the all so typical lip service until after the election.)
