Decided to take a ride to the local gun shop today to look around and found a mint S&W 36 made in 1992. bought it for $219. Nice and tight and the blueing is 99.9%. Glad I took that ride.

Not at all a bad price. A used Taurus 85 usually goes for about the same or a little less.

I usually see them running for around $250 around here and not even as nice of shape as this one. I have been meaning to get another one for a while now, so I jumped at this deal.

That's a good deal, especially in that condition. I hope you enjoy it.

    Congrat's ruger 357 on the find and purchase~! :D

That rivals the 1992 S&W model 37 that I picked up back in January
of 2005, for $225. It was a 99 per center for sure, so I just couldn't
    pass it up. :uhoh: :D

Just something 'bout those J-frames isn't it? :)

    lookin' fer a medusa model47 revolver ( .357/9mm )

unfortunately when i take a ride to the "only" two gun shops, i have not much to look at. unless you make a special order, thats' no fun at all. i can only order the following makes, ruger, s&w, taurus, beretta, colt. nothing used, if there is, the gun shop owner usually scoops it for himself. i have to rely on "word of mouth." : :banghead:

$219? Awesome price. For some reason, up here in the Great PacNorwest, I can't talk anyone under $275 to 300 for a good Mod. 36 ...

    singleaction54,

No used guns in a gun shop? That stinks.

You might want to consider buying a lottery ticket, Ruger.

    Congrats on a great deal!
