Hiya Guys :) .

I haven't had a CZ yet so yesterday evening I decided to treat myself to this beautiful CZ 75B Ω (omega) w/ nice wood grips for my BDay, and I'm glad I did because this thing is sexy as hell ;) .

First impression's as soon as I picked it up is that it's both lighter and narrower than my Hi-Power or my 1911, but not quite as light as my Polymer Sig, obviously. It's a sa/da w/ a 1911 style safety and I really like the small bright three dot night sights. Their not as large and prominent as the siglites, so they have a better sight picture, although I might get a bottle of bright fluorescent nail polish and color. The front sight.

The double action trigger is a long hard pull, probably about 12 pounds,, but the single action trigger is fairly nice even though it has a little creep, it does have a nice break. all in all I'd say I done pretty damn nice for my first CZ :) ...

Nice!
Do you prefer the safety or the decocker?
If you have the same sights that came on my 75SA, you might be the only person that likes them.
I plan on knocking mine out whenever I decide on which set to get.

CZ is my go to gun.
Got a 75 B and a compact.
Go shoot the thing and get addicted.

Welcome to CZ nation

I would love to get out and put some rounds down the pipe, unfortunately it's 25° w/ a 17 mph wind chill of about 11° and it's snowing  so, it'll have to wait a little bit

I prefer a decocker over a safety so I may end up putting one on this as well. I actually like these sites better than the siglites, because they were too big and obscured the target. these are smaller but they give a better sight picture but I think I'll get a bottle of bright fluorescent probably yellow fingernail polish and color dot the front sight to make it even better. and I definitely like these three Dot sights better than the notch rear sight and post up front on my high power or my 1911

I have the same omega 75b as you and have for about 2 years now. Trust me when I tell you that it will shoot like a dream and you will fall in love with it. Unfortunately with this being the first omega model it's not the "convertible" so you're stuck with the safety. The convertible omega model comes with a more straight trigger and the same hammer as the p09. The safety looks a little different as well. I assumed I was getting a convertible model years ago because it was the omega but the first ones just have the simplified trigger. I would prefer the decocker but this thing shoots so nice I decided I could live with the safety. Currently i shoot my 75B omega the most accurately out of all the handguns I own. Usually 1 ragged hole

A gun of this size is mostly a range gun or field carry where I'd want a first shot SA. I actually picked out a 75SA for my first CZ.
For my carry gun I picked a 75D compact with a rail because I wanted a first shot DA and it's a decocker.
If it's for the range, safety only isn't much of a detractor if it's not your cup of tea.

I have the SP-01. Take a look at one of the Cajun Gun Works kits if you want to improve it. Great kit and drops DA to 8# and SA to 3.8#. if you go with more of a race or target kit the reduction is far greater.

Oh no, I'll carry this. my first impression of this as soon as I picked it up and fondeled it was that it's both lighter and narrower than my Hi Power or possibly even my 1911. the safety doesn't really bother me I just like decockers. now that I think about it it's also narrower than what my Siig was so this will be easier to carry than that as well

Oh my, you have done it now.

I love the look with those grips.

Thanks, I did at that. however, the bluing on this is really dark, so at some point in time I may lightly sand the grips down and restain them with a light blondish stain that'll show off the wood grain and highlight against the dark bluing better

Try putting the Cz aluminum grips on and see how thin it is. Or the vz or lok grips if you're not a fan of aluminum grips. You'll be shocked how thin the Cz becomes

If you're comfortable carrying a 1911 cocked-and-locked, I can't think of a reason not to carry this gun the same way.

Wow, a friend of mine just offered to trade his Beretta 92fs with four 16 rd mags for my CZ. this thing is also sexy as hell and the differences between them are so negligible they're not even worth mentioning. the only real difference between them is this one has a decocker and it might actually have a better trigger, idk...

I wouldn't consider that trade for a second, unless you either had some emotional attachment/need for the Beretta, or just had a stack of CZ's lying around. JMHO, of course.

No, I just thought it was an interesting offer
