Saw a thread on here, which is why I joined. It was about the trials and tribulations a PSL owner was going through. I am so damned glad I read the whole thread. I have to say without a doubt, this site has some of the best advice on it.
Recent events have changed my life significantly, and I am back into firearms again, after having been married, and kind of getting out of it. I recently had a bullet come whizzing through my bedroom window from some drug dealer across the street.
When the police came over to take a report, the officer really didn't seem to be concerned. I on the other hand was, because after all, it was my bedroom. A 9mm will kill you if it finds its mark. Fortunately for me, it was fired by some idiot as a warning.
My response was to go out and buy something new, and overly aggressive looking. I didn't just buy it for the aesthetic, as I did a lot of research on this particular rifle. Looks and price were part of my rationale, but I had read that his was a particularly fun rifle to shoot. The more research I did, the better it sounded, although some people seem to think a 6" grouping is great at 400 yards. I was reading again about why this is, and why in particular this rifle seems to have consistency issues.
When I found this one particular thread, it answered pretty much all of my questions. I now know that I need to replace the scope mount, in order to truly have my rifle reach its full potential. I have wanted for quite some time to get back into shooting.
Unfortunately what has inspired me, isn't exactly what I would have preferred. Since the first shot, this guy has shot at my house two more times, without any kind of questioning by the local police. I can file as many reports as I like, but unless I see the man doing it, have a witness to him doing it, or photographic proof of him doing, the police say their hands are tied.
At any rate, that's why I'm here. This site has a lot of fantastic information about this rifle, and by virtue of it being available, it has probably already saved me a ton of money just by being able to learn from what other people have went through.
Your site is great.
