Will try out some 457gr. 45/70 loads through the Sharps replica this afternoon. Have room out to about 925 yards. Will take longer to drive back and forth to the target for sight correction that to shoot. Life is good.

457 grain 45 out to 1000 yards? What type of trajectory do you have? Is there gold at the end of the rainbow?! :p

From the looks of the long range target i believe that some burned up on reentry.:D I'm definitely going to have to buy a lead mine. This could become habitforming.
