Certainly worth signing as a show of support for the few elected officials who voted no against this disastrous bill.

thanks for that link gamalot. so am i getting this right? if you have an sks with internal 10rd mag. it is an assault weapon with beauonet lug but if you cut the lug of it is no longer an assault weapon? is this correct???and 10 round mag ok just dont get caught with more than 7rds in it right????

That is my take on it Matt. My Mini 14 is OK as long as I use mags with 7 or less round capacity. The hand gun mags will be interesting since no one makes a Glock 7 round mag and any modification has to be Permanent.
No one to my knowledge has ever accused our NY Politicians of being intelligent.

They're not stupid, they either don't care about the availability of 7 round mags, or they see it as a bonus.
If you can't get legal magazines for your Glock, well that's your problem not theirs.

What's better than a ban on 'assault weapons'?
A ban in 'assault weapons' that also creates a de facto ban on a lot of pistols too!

Remember, they won't be happy until they have taken ALL of our guns, this is just the thin end of the wedge...

Well none of them, but this ban has nothing to do with preventing crime.

Kids got killed and they need a scapegoat. Instead of attacking the real cause(s) of the problem, they publicly punish us to show that they are 'doing something'.

Your problem is that you're reasonable and thus trying to apply logic to an illogical situation.

They know just as well as we do that this will not prevent a single crime, but that's not what their agenda is.
