AA2460 at 5.56 pressure

Has anyone ran this powder in an AR platform using 55 grain Vmaxes? I recently stumbled upon their 5.56 pressure loads for 75 grain HPBT and got good results. Any help would be appreciated.

I'd guess that you can't get enough in the case to get the pressure up to the level you think that you want. Quickload supports that guess. A full case only gets you 53k psi and you have to go with a compressed charge (not usually a good idea with a ball powder) to get up into the 60k range. You'd be better served with a faster powder for that bullet weight.

Shoot Accurate an email telling them you would like data for 2460 with 55gr bullets loaded to Nato pressures. They should reply within a day or two.

You can't get enough of it in the case. They can't provide data for an impossible load.
