This link is not accurate. That form is obsolete as of this past Tuesday. It's been replaced by a slightly more idiot-proof form. It's also white now- yellow forms no more.

I haven't been able to find any sample of the new 4473 on the ATF site, but I'll hunt around a bit more.

The form has indeed been switched now; I filled out one of the new ones on Monday of this week. (10/17).

If you go into your local gunshop they will probably give you a whole stack of the yellow ones. Not much use to us anymore

They expanded the form to 3 pages to fill out. Even though there is something like a half a page of unused space on the last page they still only have 3 lines to list the stuff you want to transfer.

And then go on to page 2 to sign and date. The dealer then gets to fill out the rest. I was complaining about what the FFL has to do and how the BATFE basically spoiled a chance to use up some of the empty space left on the form.

Unless of course they want to save it for more transferee questions in the future.

I'm not sure what good a copy of the 4473 would do you, unless it's to fill a general curiosity. The forms cannot be filled out at home and returned to the store to save time with the purchase.They must be filled out at the store witnessed by the salesperson.

Don't know that filling out a form blind in a crowded store is annoying? always do your homework..

the first page is stupid, the 2nd has been improved a little. i was still using the yellow ones as of last week
