Yep seen that, I’ve got a 20” and even tho this isn’t the best powder.... I think I’ll give it a go. Why not, I think with the shortage, can’t be to picky.

Yep still haven't used any of it. Still not gonna load 7.62x39 but nice to know it can be used for 223. May try that for blasting ammo.

I tried some W680 in my 22 K hornet and it worked great, but the powder isn't made anymore. So, I started looking for something that gives the same performance and that turned out to be AA1680. It is real close to W680 on the burn rate chart and works very well for me behind a 40 grain flat base HP. I assume it would maybe work for the 32-20, but I haven't really researched that yet.

Still hopeful to here more about 223 rem and using this powder.
I do have to say, I private msg’d a few members and each one was more than helpful and provided good information. Not only is this thread my first experience here on the Highroad... it is my favorite of any firearm/reloading forums thus far. Friendly and Helpful, Thanks again Gentlemen.

I’ve switched to this for 22 hornet because I stumbled on 3 pounds before the panic for cheap. It’s a decent performer in that. Now with all this 300blk talk, I may just have to experiment.

I used that powder in my 458 SOCOM years ago. Worked well but prefer the W296.

I split a keg of 8 lbs for use in subsonic blackout. Then I realized I'm never going to load subsonic blackout, and I have no other use for it. Now I have 4lbs I have no use for and cannot really sell because it's opened and in a just with a masking tape label......

Wish some of you guys with A1680 lived closer to me. I use it for my 300 Blk loads but only have an open 1# bottle. Haven't seen any locally for quite a while. Have 8# jug of CFE-Blk so that'll have to do for now.

Have you used up all of your 1680? I have a couple of extra lbs but will only part with 1 if its a dire need. If you're just getting low like the rest of us then perhaps you should wait until the market improves..

No, I’m not out, I’m specifically not loading with it to preserve it for future sub loads. So It’s not a dire need...yet. I’m hoping to start shooting outdoors once weather warms up. The Spring Valley Shooting Range has been closed for as long as I’ve been loading, but is once again available. I’m weary of shooting indoors at a 25 yd range. Will also try to pick up a chrony thus year to see what I’m pushing out of my AR builds.

It's the best powder I've found for my .22 TCM rifle.
