ACK! Get it off get it off!!!

So I have this aluminum VMatch tube on my AR15, and i want to take it off because it weighs 37lbs. I got the BM Armorers clamp and wrench (http://www.bushmaster.com/shopping/gunsmith/om-003.asp) and (http://www.bushmaster.com/shopping/gunsmith/223-wrench.asp).

This is the problem though. When i put the action in the clamp, its flush with the rear edge of the tube and there is ZERO room for a wrench in there. Heck, I cant even get the wrench on without the clamp there! The tube is flush with the carrying handle. How the heck do I get this thing off?!

If the float tube is the barrel nut, you must use a strap wrench.

Remember to remove the gas block and gas tube first.

Yeah I was worried about that. I did try and give it a rigourous torque by hand but as expected it didnt budge.

Dangit, now to get a strap wrench!
