Yes, Acme has their ducks firmly in row formation. It's refreshing to run into people that have their stuff together - even if it happens rather more rarely than it should. I think you'll like their product too.

Used Acme 240gr SWC in my Smith M69 44 Magnum. Accurate (for me) at 15 yards. Ordered 500, came in a nice wooden box like 4 days later. Lite loads:

very nice guys I hope to try them next week in my 44, got every thing to load some up ,
going to try 7.5, 8, 8.5 and maybe 9 grains unique just for paper punching / range fun

I ordered some of the cast bullets with the powder coating. I like that they offer this saves me the headache and time of a messy job. To me, it is worth paying the little extra money for their bullets.

It's not powder coating, it's 'Hi-Tek' coating. Not only do you not have to bother doing it yourself, but Hi-Tek is a lot tougher, especially when the coat is as thick and even as Acme achieves.

My wife and I have probably run 80K of Acme 9mm (mostly RN) through our SA 9mm 1911. The coating is very durable and very even. Steel Challenge doesn't put an absolute premium on accuracy, but I've never observed a problem. The TCG bullets need to be loaded very short in our particular handguns, but that's nothing against the bullet; same is true for the Bayou Bullet TCG equivalent. The TCGs do feed better than true flat points with that slight radius on the nose.

Acme? Absolutely!

I've been reloading their 38/357 & 44 offerings for a couple of years. Bullets are well shaped, sized and weights are very consistent.

Their factory is only a few miles from me. Unfortunately, they do not have a retail storefront.

one more question for you guys, loading mid range plinkers 240 swc acme coated 44mag are you guys using a medium or heavy crimp
the 44 is new to me
thanks

More of a medium crimp. I save the heavy crimps for nasty, full-power loads.

Had great luck with 240 gr. SWC coated. Recently got some 9mm 122 gr. FP-NLG coated. Weight was really inconsistent; low of 117 gr. and a high of 128.5 and a lot of variance in between. Coating was really nice, weight not so nice.

I shoot about 10k of Acmes bullets per year, between 9mm and 45ACP. I shoot 115, 124, 147, in 9mm and 185, 230 in 45ACP. They are consistent, accurate, and very well priced. They are also based in my home state of WI, and I do like to support local businesses if they have a superior product.

Ive purchased coated bullets from 3 other places in the last 5 years, MBC, Blue bullets, and Black bullets. Between the 4 places, Ive found the Acmes to have the best coating and tend to be the most consistent in shape and weight. Id like to see them expand more into HiTek coated rifle bullets. Some 150gr and 200gr 30 caliber projectiles would be great for 300 BO. I plan on building a 458 SOCOM in the next 6 months, and I will be shooting the 458 cal bullets out of that for the grins. My only real complaint is that they are all red. Id like to have other colors available that way I can tell at a moments glance what is in my bulk can when I look at it, vs looking at the label on the inside.

There is a code from another website you can use to get 10% off your order, but Im betting that THR could probably get the same discount if they asked.
They actually make a 265gr specifically for .300 Blackout.

I know they do but I want a super I can drive at say 1800 fps, so a 130 would be best, but I'd settle for a 150 too. I've found that the most accurate bullets in 300 BO are generally 125gr bullets.

I talked to the guy who designed ACMEs 265gr bullet and he said he's working on a 525gr monster for the .458 SOCOM, presumably for ACME also.
