A friend of mine has been offered a full size Taurus .45 ACP for $300 and is tempted to buy it. It would be a face to face private sale from a contact made while at the range. He looked at the gun and all he can tell me is that it looks like it's brand new. He has no idea how old it is, except that the guy selling it said he had it a very short time and bought it from the original owner. He had the impression that the original owner may have only had it a few years. The reason he gave for selling it is that it costs too much to shoot and he wants to get a 9mm instead. The seller also said that it's functioned fine for him and is as accurate as he can hold. It comes in the plastic factory box, but I don't know if it has any papers, and I don't know how many magazines are included. My inquiries for the brain trust that is THR are: *What kind of price is $300 for such a gun? *If anyone has had any experience with a Taurus .45 ACP, good or bad, please include the details and I'll pass the info on to him. Thanks very much.
