Anyone familiar with this particular ‘holster’ or this type of kydex holster that blocks access to the trigger guard?

I’ve seen these types of trigger guard blocks made from kydex for years, finally decided to give them a shot and try them out and ordered two. Both Aegis Guardians. One for a Walther PPS and one for a Glock 26.

The Walther PPS is one I’ve always carried in my front right pocket, but it looks like other pistols are meant to just be carried in the waistband (‘Mexican Carry’) and then the kydex piece is pulled off the pistol by a length of Paracord attached to a belt loop or the belt.

If no one has heard much about them I guess this will be a review.

A search didn’t turn up much on either the Aegis Guardian specifically or kydex trigger guard block holsters in general.

I've never used them, but while I'm not familiar with that maker, I am familiar with those from RCS Gear and Dale Fricke. I think the design is a good idea for use primarily with striker fired guns in a bag, like a backpack, purse, brief case, or duffle bag, or for use on a night stand gun.

I think RCS Gear invented the category with their original Vanguard model. The Vanguard 2 has morphed into more of a minimalist IWB holster, but I think the original Vanguard was more like what you have.

I have a couple, haven't actually carried either but my sister does on her Shield, in addition to a Fanny pack type carry method. She uses it while running so I guess any extra insurance helps.

I use one on my G30 in my safe just to remind me extra that it's loaded.

Got them.

Look pretty good. Especially for how inexpensive they are.

The fit on the Walther PPS is incredibly tight and takes a considerable amount of effort to dislodge on the draw. The fit on the Glock is easier.

I’ll have to use a different length of paracord for the Walther PPS holster on pocket carry. However even if I tuck it behind the cord the pistol my thumb still often catches it. So this will likely be a strictly IWB holster.

Now to just train train train with them. How it catches at the end of the draw instead of the beginning is different.

I have about a half dozen, various manufacturers. I really like them especially for IWB on my smaller guns. Can tie one to the side of the bed for added security, or just use for general storage outside of a safe. Some of them will actually fit other guns. Some I bought from Gallaway with free shipping.
