Affordable 22LR (Lowest shipped pricing)

As an aside, I still can't used to you not being BDS
Me too.

The letter were nice reminders of memorable dogs in my life (Blaze, Daisy and Steffi) but Daisy and Steffi both passed on and Blaze is enjoying his final days.

But BDS also stood for a movement that I couldn't support and perpetuate on THR so I made the request to change my THR ID to "LiveLife" for retirement, which has been my lifelong motto.

And Daisy and Steffi were replaced by new puppies Charity from PA and Faith from TX last year. Charity on the right was already named by daughter of Amish farmer and wife wanted to keep the name and she named Faith on the left to match (Our running joke was "Our Faith is sure growing" :p).

I knew it was BDS, but I was creating a PO for a vendor of ours which is BDI when I typed that. Getting to old to multi task efficiently and/or correctly. I better go check my PO to see it's correct. Doh!

Congrats on the new additions. I can't see the image, but I'm sure they're cute pups.

NOTE: Following ammunition comes in boxed or loose bulk packs and may differ in weight and velocity (Generally, boxed ammunition provides greater protection of cartridges during shipping/handling and experience less duds/primer ignition issues from having priming compound knocked from rims):

Being both blessed and cursed by no "affordable" outdoor range near me, I don't shoot much .22 anymore. The fact that I also still have 4 bricks (500) of Winchester Wildcats LRN bought in 1999 for $9.99, I look for prices as close to that $0.02/round as I can get. In the last 10 years, both a Gander Mt. and an Academy opened up in this area (GM closed several years ago) and I was able buy a large quantity of .22LR for ~$0.05/rd. so I have enough for a very long time. :D

Midway has a sale on Aguila .22s right now. I think they are 9 cents per round with free shipping.

You can always get CCI Mini Mags direct from the factory for 12 cents per round. If you buy $100 you get free shipping. If I buy Blazers I also pick up some SV or splurge and buy some 22 magnums to get the price over $100.

MidwayUSA has Aguila 38 gr CPHP 500 round bulk pack with limit of 2 and free shipping with freeship5522 code but pricing is still $54.99/500 (11 cents a round) - https://www.midwayusa.com/product/1022643629?pid=307215

In comparison, Brownells has same Aguila 38 gr CPHP bulk pack for 7.6 cents a round if 7 boxes are ordered and using MAYPARTNER25 code for $25 off, even after paying $11 shipping charge.

cci online (free shipping for orders over $99) has been my go-to source for rimfire ammo, ever since walmart pulled ammo from the shelf to allegedly protect us during the flu.

UPDATE: Brownells increased price of Aguila 38 gr CPHP to $41.99/500 which increases cost per round to 7.9 cents from 7.6 cents.

Wow LiveLIfe thanks for that informatioon.

Those are better prices then what I've found. Even the CCIs are cheaper than the manufacturer. I just placed an order for 5000 rounds of Blazer.

I believe in current lot testing as accuracy results from years to decades prior may not reflect current manufacture accuracy.

I am looking forward to testing Norma Tac-22 next as many report it is on par with SK Standard and in this recent "real world" 50 yard comparison video with 10/22 LVT/Ruger American, Norma Tac-22 produced comparable groups to Eley Target and smaller than CCI SV (9:30 minute - CCI Standard Velocity, Federal Gold Medal Target, Eley Target, Norma Tac-22, and Aguila Super Extra compared)

So while during my 10,000 round testing with ammunition purchased few years ago, CCI 40 gr SV/Blazer and Aguila 40 gr LRN/CPRN (38 gr CPHP did not do well) produced smallest groups of 1/2"-3/4" 10 shot groups at 50 yards consistently, things may be different now with current lots of ammunition. As availability of ammunition improves, I plan on doing another ammo comparison at 50/100 yards with new lots of 22LR.

And I have not shot new loose bulk packaging of Aguila 38 gr 250 round box and CCI Blazer 38 gr 200/425 round boxes so curious how they shoot as compared in this "real world" 50 yard video (Even though Aguila 38 gr was loose bulk pack, it produced the smallest groups and while boxed Blazer 40 gr consistently produced smallest groups for me, the loose bulk pack of Blazer 38 gr produce rather larger groups)

It was at this time in the first crunch I experienced that I began to purchase an ammunition supply. I bought much Armscor at $36 a box.

It wasn’t enough.;)
But times got better.

I wanted to take this time to thank you for your time and efforts.
I really appreciate it!
Your diligence has been a boon for me and my son. My wallet is happy too!
I am glad to see cases being offered again. Little bear is ten now. “So I’ll probably want to do shooting things more now, Dad. We have bullets, right?”:)

Thank you very much for this thread.

Picked up some new lots of Norma Tac-22 and new 250 round loose bulk packs of Aguila 38/40 gr along with CCI SV Target/Aguila 40 gr LRN as reference to do some comparison accuracy testing with my old stock of Aguila 40 gr CPRN after winter rain season and shooting area dries up.
