Did I happen to mention how much I liked this thread?

You literally make the Big Red Easy Button a thing!
Glad to be helping out THR members. :D

And with current high price of ammunition, posting my accuracy test results in hopes of saving some money for THR members from having to conduct their own tests.

When craziness of ammunition/component shortage happened and when shelves emptied of ammunition, I started sharing/gifting/paying it forward my large stock of ammunition/reloading components I bought for retirement with family/friends/neighbors desperate for ammunition.

So like in 2017-2019, I am monitoring/trending 22LR ammunition to stock up again for retirement. I still have enough 22LR on hand to last me several years so I will keep watching until I am convinced we have truly hit the bottom of rebound before I start buying.

What ammo have you selected to try in your precision 22 rifles? What rifles? Inquiring minds want to know!
but I did not look at it much as I was looking for variety of ammo brands to test my new precision .22s and this was not on my list.

Let's see if we come across any deals during the upcoming, Memorial Day holiday, LiveLife.

If I see any, you bet I will post them on this thread. :)

And if other members see a good deal not mentioned on this thread, please share them with other THR members (Note, final price to consider is after any shipping charge or promo/discounts). Thanks!

after browsing this thread, I'm gonna chime in here:

I saw several people question whether ammoshoponline.com is legit... they are. I have made several orders from them. They aren't "Norma", but they do seem to be JUST that overall manufacturer; Norma, GECO, RUAG, etc. RUAG seems to be the parent company as I recall, and that site only has RUAG brands.
They are one of my cherry-picking sites, as they do offer free shipping beyond a certain pricepoint (not hard to reach nowadays), and didn't hit tax when I bought. I got Norma White Box 9mm for $300/1k awhile back from them, and recently got GECO 1k loose in an ammo can for the same price. It's not fantastic, but when they offer that, it's probably as good as any deals online right now.

I have a savage a22 precision, b22 precision, btvss mk2 and a ruger peecision rimfire in 22 mag.
Eley, auto match, champion target, Norma and CCI target and green label.

Well that didn’t work. Savage a22 and b22 precision chassis rifles. Savage btvss mk2, and a ruger precision rimfire in 22 mag.

eley, Norma, lapua, champion match, auto match, CCI in a few flavors including sv, target and green tag. Also some hornady and some Winchester.

Thanks to LiveLife and Mutiny Machine I have 1000 rounds on the way :) . FWIW I was not familiar with Mutiny, but I did not receive an order confirmation email yesterday. This morning I emailed them and questioned. I quickly got a personal reply and a copy of my order with assurance it would be shipped promptly.

It's nice to see prices starting come in line.

My local Walmart is selling federal automatch for $21.16 per 325 round pack. Limit 3. I’ve gone a few times and it’s always been on the shelf.

I have 34 boxes of that ammo stored. Been buying 3 boxes and shooting one every week. Great ammo, Out of maybe 60 boxes. Only had a handful of failures to fire. Glock44 abd M&P15-22 digest this ammo with no issues. Hope this ammo never dries up. Going to try to keep a stock pile on deck and make it last me years, Oh, and its accurate enough for me. 70 yards.

UPDATE: FYI, LAX Ammunition free shipping on $300+ orders with code FREESHIP2022 expires on 6/14.

I haven't shot these but apparently they are made in Mexico with decent unconfirmed accuracy around 1.5" at 50 yards and due to shortage, they have resurfaced (Here are shot groups of various CI 22LR but they are at 200 yards ;)).

UPDATE:
Do you think that the new CCI Standard grouped better than the old CCI Standard because it's more fresh?

I remember a while back someone who I otherwise thought was very knowledgeable about guns told me that while center-fire ammo lasts many decades, rimfire ammo only lasts about a decade or so. I thought it was BS then and now, but your results are intriguing.

Repost from another thread for old/new 22LR ammunition reliability/accuracy comparison - https://www.thehighroad.org/index.p...thing-on-ammoseek.906842/page-2#post-12328828
[Thunderbolts] somewhere in the late 80s or into the 90s they suddenly started to lead like crazy. 20, 30 rounds and you had a smooth bore. The bullet profile changed at that time. Then the leading stopped but they were crap after that.
During the past several years, I shot/tested over 40,000 rounds of now 30+ brands/weights/lots of 22LR ammunition specifically with latest 11,000+ rounds capturing 5/10 shot groups and documenting on various "real world" threads like this - https://www.thehighroad.org/index.php?threads/real-world-accurizing-22lr-on-the-cheap.898035/

Most of the ammunition tested were purchased around 2019 and newer and have been 99%+ reliable in various 10/22s, T/CR22, ARs with CMMG conversion bolts and pistols (GSG 1911 and G22 with AA slide kit with only Norma Tac-22 being "no go" failure to cycle slide) and with the exception of Winchester M22 (Several duds per box in both 10/22 and T/CR22) which I will be retesting as soon as I can get a hold of a new lot.

Yes, old Thunderbolts were bad, so bad that I deemed them "Thunderduds" and swore never to buy again. But in recent years, at the urging of many THR members, I decided to include in my "real world" comparison threads and to my surprise, every round went bang. Yes, true ... and I have shot several thousand rounds of the newer Thunderbolts in various pistols and rifles with 100% primer ignition (And I have not experienced leading with any pistol/rifle I have tested during this time ... Yup, 40K+ rounds and no leading issue). Accuracy was mostly good but is prone to larger flyers to list as #18 on my accuracy listing of now 30+ ammunition (Listing below 50 yard targets at below link) - https://www.thehighroad.org/index.p...t-shipped-pricing.902560/page-5#post-12304852

Now that Remington ammunition was bought by Federal/CCI/Speer (Vista Outdoor parent company), I am curious how new production lots of Thunderbolts and Golden Bullets will do (I actually bought some new lots for upcoming comparison test so stay tuned) - https://www.thehighroad.org/index.p...t-shipped-pricing.902560/page-5#post-12325243

I wish I bought a pallet of the old CCI Blazers. They shot great out of anything. I,m pretty much a plinker but was nice to have 50 yd dime to nickle shot groups out of basic hunting rifles.
Yes, old Blazers have shot very well for me as well and averaged around 1/2" groups at 50 yards for my 10/22 and T/CR22. While some members' experience differ, my experience with old and new CCI SV has been the same with around 1/2" groups at 50 yards consistently but I will be conducting more comparison testing with new lot of 22LR.
