Anyone have experience with brands such as KCI, Pro mag or SGM? Specifically looking at the higher capacity ones like 33rd

Promag has been horrible for all my glocks! Feedlips break and followers were unreliable. KCI has worked for my 9mm (50 round iirc). I only have smg for my 10mm that have worked for countless rounds (33 or 30 round mags). I stopped buying promag mags in everything as they're terrible fir deagles also!

All of the standard capacity KCI mags I use have been good to go. I can't say the same about the MagPul mags though. MagPul does not use any metal in their Glock magazines and the sides will bulge out when left loaded.

I agree that one should generally avoid any ProMag magazines. The only exception to this is their G44 22LR magazines, those work very well.

I will also caution about using ETS brand magazines. All of the ETS mags I have tried are junk and are only good for practicing stoppage drills.

The 17 and 15 round KCI and KHAR mags I have have never been a problem. Been using the same lot of 17 round mags as my weekly practice mags for 15-16 years now. Id trust them just as I would the factory Glock mags. That said, the KCI 33 round mags I have have been a lot of trouble and haven't been very reliable. Truth be told, my Glock 33 rounders arent all that great in that respect either, but more or less reliable.

I have a number of the Korean RWB 15 round mags that function wise, work fine and never a problem there, but they don't want to drop free, and have to be pulled from the guns. Doesnt hurt to be up on that sort of thing anyway, so I don't really worry about them as long as they function, which they do.

I have a bunch of the Magpul Glock mags, of various capacities as well, and have never had an issue with any of those either. I actually trust their 27 round mags more than I do do the factory Glock 33 rounders. Unlike the factory 33 round mags, Ive never had an issue with them (or their 21 round mags) working or having a stoppage of any sort.

As cheap as Glock mags are, the above are all usually about half the price of the factory mags or less, and for me, have worked just as well, especially for practice mags. And as I said, some of them Id trust the same as factory mags, and wouldn't hesitate to use them for more serious things.

The 33 round Glock factory magazines are undersprung and leat realiable 9mm magazines they produce. Solution is to replace mag extension with standard mag plate. I have never used aftermarket magazines, therefore, I don't know which are good.

Kci and smg are ok for the range, but i wouldn't trust my life to one. Wouldn't take a pro mag if you offered it to me for free.

You know glock makes 33rnd mags right? Get the good ones, dont look back.

Was looking at the 33rd by other companies because they are $20 cheaper. If i want more than 33 i will buy a drum.

there is a reason they are cheaper. Got 2 glock 33s. Both are stored loaded, both have been shot regularly. Zero issues in years use. Buy once, cry once.

Smg has a weak spring and the follower binds when loading.l, cheap feeling plastic.

Never tried a kci, but seen people have problems with them, similar quality to the smg.

Never seen a glock 33 with issues.

I would not trust my life on any 33 round 9mm magazine made for Glock. The highest capacity practical 9mm Glock magazine holds 24 rounds. They are "sprung for bear" and are hard to load to full capacity.
