Does anyone know of any aftermarket levers for the Marlin 30-30 rifle? I'm looking for an enlarged loop like the one John Wayne uses in True Grit (easier to use with gloves on).

    Thanks!

I was never a huge fan of the really large loops, but I do like the "in between" size marlin is putting on its new compact .45-70!

Ditto Wild West. Bear in mind that it's not a drop-in and must be fitted to your rifle.

WWG for the Big Loop Lever, DRC for a more moderate sized loop. I bought the DRC for my 336ss-LTD and the fit was a perfect drop in. I later lightened the lock pin plunger spring by 1/2 coil to smooth lock up. I love it. I had the WWG big loop lever on another rifle and while nice it ended up being a bit too big for me. I think that one was designed with hunting in really thick gloves in mind where it would excel.

    Be safe

I now you have a Marlin and not a Win. 92, but this thread may be of general interest.
