22 rimfire supply getting low so was thinking about buying a case of Aguila standard velocity but would like to hear from some who have used it. I have handguns (revolvers and semi-autos) and rifles (bolt, semi-auto, lever and pump) in this caliber. If you have used Aguila standard velocity in any of these I'd value your opinions. Thanks.

It an excellent round, delivering great accuracy, and consistency, very few if any squibs or hots, very good , stable Chrony readings. Remember aguila is made with parts, and primer compound , by Eley, the best rimfire mfgr in the world today. They have an American company that makes them as well, but just two types of ammo . The company here is called American eagle, they are in a blue/black box, and a Brown/black box. one is match pistol, the other is match rifle. Again, eley products, assembled in a American factory. Aguila is Mexican made. no knock to them though, I fire a ton of different Aguila ammo, especially their hivels, and their sniper subsonic 60 grainers.

I've been shooting Aguilia 22 SV and other Aguila calibers, for a few years.
Good stuff. It's more accurate than most "name brands".

The only problem is, I do have some reliability problems, in some semi auto guns, because of the reduced power of the SV, but I wouldn't be using it in a defense roll anyhow.

The other Aguila ammo, that I use, has also been excellent ammo.

I have used the Aguila SV, in my MkII for bullseye, found it very accurate and consistant, but did tend to get 1 FTF for every 60 rnds avg. I just ordered and recieved some Golden Eagle Target, and Golden Eagle Match Pistol. I have not fired any of the Match Pistol yet, but I am still experimenting with the Golden Eagle Target so I can not give you a reliable report on that yet. But having not shot the Match pistol yet, I still think that the regular Aguila SV is one of the best bang for your buck ammo's out there, IMHO

I like it. I shoot it in my tuned up Romanian 1969, my BRNO #1, my Polish wz.48 and my Ruger Single Six (which shoots everything about the same). It's very consistent. I haven't tried it in any semi-autos though. I usually shoot Federal 510 Classic through them.

I just started using aquila golden eagle target in my Mossberg 44us able to get 1" groups at 100 yards. They are eley primed. I also had good luck with CCI standard vol 40 grain. But the golden eagle are a little better.

A couple of the Bullseye shooters I know, have complained of more than one under powered (squib) load with their std velocity stuff. I just got a case and have only fired about 5 boxes of it. So far, no light loads.

Thank you all for you input. Might try 1K order instead of 5K and see how it runs. Just trying to get a little more accuracy but not bear the expense of Ely or Lapua. Can live with a few FTF's as it seems to cross all the lower priced rimfire lines.
