Once again my wild hair wins over. I just couldn't pass this up. I just saw this Stag AR on Gun Broker and decided to get it. I'll have to dip into savings a little bit to ad to the 480.00 sitting in my safe to get the rifle until I get my 250.00 retention bonus next month. I was going to wait until then to buy an AR but, this Stag came a little to soon. I'll get the funds sent out Wed when I'm off next. I'm in no hurry, I can't even afford to buy ammo right now. Here's a link to the listing.

I'd thought about risking a bidding war by starting out with the lowest bid but even at the "buy it now" price, it still is a good deal. I don't plan on doing anything to it except shooting it. I've considered taking a carbine class but with four years as an 11B, I'll wait on that.

congrats on the rifle, and it look likes it comes with some good accessoriec, that you don't see with moth sells, i wish mine would have came with all that. great job and i hope yuo enjoy it!

I'll research to see if the mags are of good quality. Even if I trash them I feel I still came out ahead. That RRA trigger is like a 90.00 trigger and the sigle point sling attachment will go great with my Wilderness single point sling. I just happen to have an extra quick release for it. The other is on my 870 HD.

WOOHOO!

I picked it up today. The fit and finish is way above what I expected. The Colt A2's that we used in the Army were rattle boxes compaired to this rifle. I'm sure that may be due to the great deal more wear and tear on the M16A2's we were issued. The upper and lower receivers fit so tight that getting the rear take down pin to move took a little motivation. I stripped it down tonight to give it a once over and the bolt carrier group needed a little bit of cleaning. I also need to clean the chamber and bore but, I do not have an M-16 cleaning kit. I guess that is all the excuse I need to add another Otis cleaning kit to my range bag http://www.otisgun.com/cgistore/store.cgi?page=/new/fcatalog.html&setup=1&cart_id=.
This gun definately has a different feel than that of my M1A black synthetic Scout/Squad. It's almost toy like in feel. Our A2's with their 20 inch barrels and solid butstocks felt a bit different. I can see why there are those that like these little carbines for possible bug-out guns. It'll still be a month or two before I get it to the range. I had to dip a little in my reserve funds to get the rifle so, getting ammo for it will have to wait. Other than being a little dirty, this gun looks brand new and I am very happy to have it in my safe:) .

Congrats, that's a good buy and a great rifle. I have built 5 Stag guns, and their parts are tight and of excellent fit and finish....good stuff.
