Has anyone ever done buisness with AIM surplus, specifically the European steel AK magazines. And if you did, how was their service in general?

Well, I got sold their Korean FAL mags, passed off as Austrian. They were in wrap, and I bought several from a table that had both new and used Austrians as well as some IMI and others. I had no reason to doubt the guy and the finish looked different, but other than that they were very similar.

When I got home, I found that they wouldn't fit. Too big. I took 'em back, guy jams 'em in his rifle and says "see?" I got my money back and saw him selling 'em nearly a year later as the same thing, telling another guy "see?". Now I know he sells counterfeit so I don't deal with him.

But I've heard others say they work. If they would have fit, I'd think they would be okay actually. They are very similar. I hear the Glock mags are junk.

If you get EUROPEAN AK mags, I can't see how they'd be any different than any of the other steel AK mags. I've used 'em in the past, mostly German, and had no problems at all. The bakelite Euro AK74 mags were some of the smoothest mags I've ever seen period.

I live 30 minutes away from them. I get all my surplus ammo from them and several guns along with accessories. Never an issue.
Perhaps the vender was Stryker's problem, not the supplier?

I've bought ammo from AIM with no problems. Nothing else -- can't comment on the mags.

I've bought tons of ammo and surplus mags from them and can't recommend them enough. AIM is the bee's knees.

Super fast delivery to me too, I don't know if it's only because I'm in Indiana but usually I order from them and it's here in two days.

They are my main "go to" for 5.45x39, 7.62x39 and 9x18mm.

AIM is good. Never had a complaint about them, and I've ordered from them several times. If you're looking at AK mags, though, don't miss www.whatacountry.com. They have good prices, good service, and quick shipping. I've recently bought Polish 30-round mags ($13.95) and Hungarian 20-rounders ($16.95) from WAC, and they all looked like new.

I've been buying various stuff from them for 3 or so years with zero problems and always excellent service. They are one of my favorite companies.

Other than getting them a copy of my C&R I haven't spoken to anyone there, but I've ordered a bunch of stuff from them without incident. The prices are fair, the site is easy to navigate, and they don't rape you too bad on shipping.

I have bought several thirty round AK mags from them in the last month. They are all in great shape.

The last time I ordered from them I got a case of ammo and two buffers. When the ammo arrived the box had been torn and the buffers were missing. The two bufferes were sent out at no charge that same day. No filing a claim, they just made it right.

They are on top of my list of suppliers.

I've bought guns, ammo and accessories from them on several occasions over the last few years. I've never had any problems, they were always friendly and helpful and shipping was prompt.

Whenever I need another addition to my C&R collection, SOG, AIM and J&G are the first three websites I visit (and typically in that order).

Aim gets much of my ammo business as well, due to their aggresive emailing of deals. Heck, the last one I got yesterday or the day before advertised Aguila .30 carbine FMJ for 14.99 a box of 50 (which is an outstanding deal IMO).

I've yet to have any problems with Aim Surplus in any category.

AIM is a first class operation. I have purchased some of these European AK mags and the price was as good as I could find and the mags were like new condition. I have also purchased some of their PPU ammunition. Good folks to do business with.

Good service and those AK magazines are probably the best option on the market right now from both a price and quality standpoint. There has been a fair amount of informed speculation about where those mags were manufactured but what it really comes down to is that they are a well built mag in nearly new condition. At $10 each they are cheaper than most of the other online dealers..... it's just too bad you didn't order from them a few months ago when they were $9 and if you bought 10 it was $8. It's still the best deal going on AK mags because at some point you will be wishing you bought at $10.

I've been very happy with them. Have got C&R guns from them and lots of ammo, mags, and parts.

I did get some used AK mags that weren't quite right had dents that interfered with the follower although they didn't look bad at all -- just gently crushed enough to pinch the follower. They were happy to take a return for credit, but I decide to keep them after I learned I could "iron out" the dents by pounding the fat end of a Craftsman 1/2" drive extension through the magazine. Gotta love the AK's brute force simplicity! :)

The Korean FAL mags work great, if they fit, about half don't fit my RRA LR308 mag is too big, but are fine in my FAL. At the moment I think the new DSA mags are a better buy.

Great place and people and service -- I am so trustfull of them I need a reason NOT to buy what I want from them first. They were not ripping everyone off during the great Obama Ammo Shortage.
