Aimpoint 7000L on a .375H&H--Good Idea or Not??

Considering putting an Aimpoint 7000L on my Sako 75 .375 H&H---couple questions.

1. Would this actually fit on the magnum action??

2. Would the Aimpoint stand up to the recoil??

3. Would the red dot be legal to hunt with in states where I'd be likely to use this rifle?? Red dots are legal in this state.


It seems the Aimpoint would be fast in use---and the unlimited eye relief is appealling------or am I just thinking crazy and would be better off with a regular scope???

A bigass gun like that, to put a sight on thats no good at distances?

It would be great for sub-200 yard work on large animals. I would prefer a 1.75-6x traditionally mounted scope though.
