Just finished-up several weeks of international travel. Went thru San Francosco, Hong Kong, Tokyo Narita and Shanghai/Pudong airports without any delays or hassles. Even Shanghai (which is under Olympics extra security) where they searched & bomb sniffed you before you could enter the terminal from the parking lot.
Everything was either on me or in my carry-on notebook case. I used to have a Worden Kerambit too, but can't seem to find it anymore. I hope this demonstrates that you don't have to be empty-handed even when travelling internationally.
