AK-47 in .308

    Three years ago I was at the shooting range and I saw 2 guys shooting an ak-47 chambered in .308 win. Ive been searching for 1 online all I find is saigas the ak they had looked just like a wasr-10 but it was in .308 anyone know who makes it?:confused:

    It was a converted Saiga .308. Not that uncommon. You can buy one yourself and convert it in your garage in about 5 hours.

    Yes it was probably a converted Saiga 7.62x51. I have one that was converted with an Ace folding stock and Ergo pistol grip. Do you think the AK you saw was a 1990s vintage Yugo AK? Those were nice and the price was nice but mags were hard to find.

    It also could have been a Vepr, Valmet, or Galil.

    Could it have been a preban Yugo (Mitchell)?

    More than likely one of the Saiga's etc as described above.

    I agree with the others I would bet it was a Saiga converted to look more like traditional AK.

    It could have been a Vepr or Valmet as well.

    If they had a lot of money it could of been a krebs custom, but doubtful.

    Krebs expensive? Have you priced a pre-ban Yugo?
