Hi guys, i'm new here (obviously) and i'm currently living in Europe.

that doesn't really have to do with the topic, but yet again it does...

Ive always loved AK-47's and not i'm looking to buy one. I acme to this forum to see if you guys have and suggestions on which AK-47 or AK Variant i should get.

YES I have searched and saw some other threads, but they weren't really helping me at all.. hence why i'm posting my own.

Thanks in advance guys, and i'm glad to be part of this community

P.S. Price is not a factor. And post links please =]

Regards,

Jacques.

What we can get in the USA is far different than what you can get in Europe.

For one, your local laws will dictate what you can have.

Secondly, if you are allowed to have Kalashnikovs in your locale, they'll very likely be untouched due to the US 922r (iow, they'll be 100% factory Kalashnikovs)

Let me guess...Francais?

Welcome, Jacques. What choices do you have where you are now? Moving to the U.S. anytime soon? If you are able to get your hands on a Russian or Bulgarian commercial one, you would be doing well.

If price is not a factor, I'd probably get an Arsenal AK-47 - they make many variants, some on Bulgarian receivers (I believe) and some on Russian Saiga receivers. Where in Europe are you that the Government allows their subjects to own an AK-47?

Nice guess =P but im actually Portuguese.

I was born and raised in the USA And currently have a house in Florida, i know the laws are different, but all im looking for is a good ak or variant to get in the USA (i should of stated that in my first post)

Arsenal Bulgarians or Russian Saigas (converted) are about as good as you can get, IMO.

Please, if there's a site with the weapon and details/specs. please post them.

Are Saigas (made by Izhmash in Russia) available where you live? Here in the USA we get the "sporting version" that has some changes but depending on your country's laws they may not require many or any changes. Izhmash is the company that originally made the AK-47 so they are very high quality for the price.
Here is their website and the page on the AK-47 (called by various different AK names)
http://www.izhmash.ru/eng/product/weapon.shtml

You may be able to get the "real" AK cheaper than we can get quality replicas here.
