Galveston, TX - Scores of State and Federal law enforcement were on the scene of an alleged beaching of several small craft on an isolated section of the shore near Gilchrest, TX this morning. Cronicle News Team access was limited due to a 1-mile area cordoned off and blocked by numerous humvees, information as to whether the alleged beaching was connected to events from Sunday was not forthcoming except for exclusive off-the-record assistance to the Cronicle News Team by a source who said he was "close to the action".

Unofficially and speaking on the condition of anonymity, Cpl Bernard Phyffe informed us of the possibility of an expanded search operation being conducted later, but further up the beach. Our anonymous source escorted our team to a section of the sand dunes east of the perimeter whereupon these exclusive photos were taken.

Along with debris from recent Spring Break partygoers, several wooden crates were broken and scattered amongst the dunes, most of their contents already missing. Though torn open, boxes of duct tape and cell phones still remained. Our anonymous liason firmly stated not to "touch anything" and then directed us across the dune and onto the beach. It was there that Cpl Phyffe pointed out what appeared to be a firearm half buried in the sand.

Again speaking on the condition of anonymity, Cpl Phyffe remarked "What we have here, is the proverbial smoking gun!" Upon closer inspection, our Cronicle News Team cameraman verified the suspicions of those present: "Seen one on arfcom, (that is a) fullauto RPG, it has 'the switch'!".

Moments later, sirens could be heard in the distance, we trained our view westward to where the main activity was and immediately noticed numerous humvees headed toward our location at an extremely high rate of speed. Speaking on the condition of anonymity, our anonymous source then strongly suggested that the Cronicle News Team leave the area.

More details as they become available.
