Many of you have probably read, commented, or even shot this gun, but this is the 1st I've heard about it.

I'm surprised Glock changed-up their blueprint on their tried-and- true design, but I can't help but love the d@mn thing! My upbringing loves the external safety, and the European in me loves the barrel design! I know if you like Glocks, this probably gives you nightmares...but it gives me, well...a different kind of dream :) I just wanted to share this beauty incase I wasn't the last man on earth who hadn't seen it yet.

Happy holidays and safe shooting

Likewise. You can preach to me all day about "trigger finger awareness," and while I understand this to be true, I still feel my dad looking over my shoulder with pinched lips whenever I buy/consider buying a gun w/out and external safety. Just the way I was raised.

Well they marketed the 19X (Essentially a Gen 4.5) they developed for the Military Trials minus the safety. Then they marketed the Gen V that was developed from that. Then they added forward serrations and changed it to black to sell to the cops as the G45. Then they added back the safety they developed for the trials and called it the G46.

Seems like business as usual to me.

No interest from me, been using a safety-less Glock long enough to be comfortable and that one doesn't look like it would be the right size or in the right place for my 1911 muscle memory.

I get it, I wasn't initially comfortable with striker pistols without manual safeties. I got comfortable to the point that I took the safety off of my 2.0C, and I think it's a better defensive gun now, but I definitely understand why some folks just want that manual safety. Truth be told if my 2.0C had the same style safety as my Shield I probably would have left it on there.

Looks interesting. I see it won’t be offered in any other market, now, but even if it was I wouldn’t buy one as I have other guns I want.

It would be interesting if they just modified that design a little by adding some meat and color to the extractor to also make it a loaded chamber indicator and develop a magazine safety. They could sell a ton of these in restricted states.

Rotary Barrel Action
Manual Safety
Drive Out Pin to Disassemble(?)

It certainly is a departure even if it still looks like a Glock.

I love it. I got comfortable with the Glock trigger but I still feel a tinge of unease. I have trained so far in the other direction I won't be getting one but this will be a popular model and rightly so.

My only external safety guns are range guns, due to my CCW being no safety designs and unwillingness to carry multiple manuals of arms but I am glad a gun as good as Glock is finally supporting both schools of thought.

Is there a way for a woodchuckassassin to purchase one of these?

Is it possible for a person to legally buy a gun in another country and bring it into the US?

I’m sure, for the right price you could buy one. But is there a way to do it legally?

If I was able to get one of these, I'd get two :)
I would be interested to know how much red-tape one would need to cut through to buy one of these Glocks internationally. Perhaps someone else has more information on the subject.
