From "Outlaw Josey Wales":
Clint Eastwood: "It's always like that."
Chief Dan George: "Like what?"
Clint Eastwood: "When I get to likin' someone they aren't around very long."
Chief Dan George: "I noticed they're not around very long when you dislike them either."

Appaloosa:
Just after the gunfight (Ed Harris and Viggo Mortensen against Jeremy Irons and the local unethical constabulary) As Virgil and Everette (Harris and Mortensen) are laying on the ground wounded...

Everette: That went fast.
Virgil: Yea.... everyone knew how to shoot!

:D

My favorite movie, easy."I don't belive no five pistolaro's could take Josey Wales"

from The Man who shot Liberty Valance

Liberty Valance (Lee Marvin): You lookin' for trouble, Doniphon?
Tom Doniphon (John Wayne): You aim to help me find some?

from Big Jake

clerk: I thought you were dead.
Big Jake: Dead? The next person who says that I'm gonna shoot, so help me.

can never have too many john wayne quotes.

From We Were Soldiers:

Moore: When Crazy Horse was a baby, he nursed at the breast of every woman in the tribe. The Sioux raised their children that way. Every warrior called every woman in the tribe "Mother". Every older warrior, they called him "Grandfather". Now, the point here is that they fought as a family. Take care of your men. Teach them to take care of each other. 'Cause when this starts... each other is all we're gonna have. (Moore goes aside with new radio operator)
Sgt.Maj. Plumley: Any of you sons-of-bitches calls me "Grandpa"... I'll kill ya.

...................

Moore: They attack us, no casualties, they run and hide in the mountains. Naturally we chase them, of course. Smell like an ambush to you?
Sgt.Maj. Plumley: They get close enough to kill us, we'll be close enough to kill them.
Moore: Round trip by chopper's thirty minutes. That means the first sixty men on the ground wil be there a half hour alone. Son of a bitch. Think maybe you oghtta get yourself that M-16.
Plumley: Time comes I need one, sir, there'll be plenty of 'em lying on the ground.

Another, from Unforgiven. I'm not sure about the names of characters. It was the scene in which, the deputies were waiting for Little Bill. so they could go and disarm English Bob.

One deputy says to the other deputy(Clyde?), who was missing his left arm,

" Clyde, you have three guns and only one arm"

Clyde: " I just don't want to get killed for a lack of shootin' back"

LOL someone dropped a quote from THEY LIVE!

Makes me wish I could THINK of a single quote form "Hell Comes to Frogtown"

Oh and her's one from WILD GEESE:

Richard Burton: "What have you got?"
Richard Harris reaches into pocket "I have this," (Colt detective special) "and this." (WW2 pinapple grenade) Now THAT's a back up!

Deep rising

Finnegan: [Jumps down in the water behind Trillian and startles her and she fires around 35 rounds at his feet] Jesus lady, watch it, will ya?
Trillian St. James: I'm sorry! Thank god you're alive.
Finnegan: Damn straight I am! Let's keep it that way, huh?

There was another one where the woman gets an automatic weapon and asks "how do i even work this thing" one of the guys tells her "point it at whatever those things are and hold down the trigger till it goes away"

The completely out of ammo line from tremors movie was awesome too.

[Shootout in the missile room]
Captain Ramius: Hey, Ryan, be careful what you shoot at. Most things in here don't react too well to bullets.
Jack Ryan: Right.
[Moves closer to enemy, who fires several shots at him]
Jack Ryan: *I* have to be careful what *I* shoot at?
Jack Ryan: [to himself] "Ryan, some things in here don't react well to bullets." Yeah, like me. I don't react well to bullets.

The Hunt for Red October

This one doesn't actually mention the gun itself, but is related to the gun fight near the end of the movie "Tombstone".

Doc Holiday meets Johnny Ringo for the duel and says something along the lines of:

"Why, Johnny Ringo, you look like somebody just walked over your grave"

Cowboy: Its the drunken' piano player! Why, he's so drunk he's seein' double!
Holliday: "I've got two guns, one for each of ya'!

your a daisy if ya do!

"Get yourself a Glock and lose that nickel plated sissy pistol."
-Tommy Lee Jones in U.S. Marshals

It's been years since I last saw that one, so I can't remember what the nickel plated sissy pistol was. Anybody remember? Maybe a 1911, which would be ironic. I view it more as a line of character development of the differences between Jones' character (experienced, views a gun as tool for a job) and Robert Downey Jr.'s character (flashy, inexperienced, rock star mentality, views a gun as something that will make people respect him), more than as an actual statement about the guns themselves.

From Death Wish #2

Charles Bronson to punk wearing a cross around his neck. "Do you believe in Jesus"?

Punk "Yes I do".

Bronson "Well your gonna meet him". BOOM!

From an old cowboy movie in the late 50s, "If'n I shoot you with this yer gonna rot from the inside out".

I believe it was from "The Gauntlet" (tho I may be mistaken) where Clint Eastwood appropriates a chopper from a MC gang:

Gang member: "Hey! That's are our chopper, Jack!"
Eastwood: "This is my gun, Clyde."

"Best dollar-eighty I ever spent." Billy the Kid escaping from jail - Young Guns II
