I think I started with TFL then switched to THR shortly thereafter!

Best thing I ever could have done!

Thank you THR and to all the members here!

Wow, had to go look, thirteen years, now. Does not feel that long.

The middle of next February will make 16 for me although I was a lurer for a time before joining. It's been so long I have forgotten what the dust up was about. This is my favorite place to hang out out. As to the bourbon just make mine some Irish and having quit smoking on a windy, chilly day in March of '72 I find cigarette smoke to stink and cigars are three times as bad. I don't want to be anywhere close to a smoker. I know not liking bourbon probably makes me somewhat un-American but I just don't care for it.

Eleven years ago I finally registered on THR after lurking since the early days and this seems to be the 2,178th post, even though I hate posting shorts. Over 34 years online now (not counting BBS & packet radio for a number of years before that), I can't even count how many forums I've frequented over all this time but seem to come back here year after year.

I might call this a spiritual home of sorts. People make or break a forum and you've all made THR what it is.

    Happy New Year!

Came here when the owner there shut it down for a while so he could devote more time to other things - that was back in 2002
I've been here for 20 years.

You beat me to TFL. I joined there in July, 2000. Made the same migration you did. I still drop in over there occasionally, but THR has outgrown it.

All the bourbon talk...I do like a drink every night before bed (sometimes 2), my drink of choice is Hennessey cognac.

Good stuff, but I can't afford much of it lol.

    I haven't smoked since 2007.

My first forum was a tiny AR15 forum before the turn of the century. There was a Dutch moderator and very few members at Arf.com, the internet was still young. Next was Glocktalk and The Firing Line in 2001.

    Time flies!

I'm a relative babe in the woods, almost a year and a half.......... It's a good forum, can't let loose like I do on other forums but that's okay, I still manage to pull off a joke or two without it getting deleted.......... :)

I joined in '04 the third forum I joined, the Cetme forum and Parallax Bill's C&R forum were 1&2. I have joined a few others, I only check 2 daily; here and Trapshooter's.com. I check the Russianmosinnagantforum about twice a month.
I enjoy THR a lot, even learn something now and then. ;)

I appreciate that. I try to come up with interesting things to say between my neophyte reloading questions :).

Wow, that's was responsive. You must've known the launch date through the transition or was total happenstance?

There are several of us who joined the end of December 2002. We were sorta refugees.

June 2013 here, roughly 9 and a half years. I was a regular on the Gun Broker forums for a long time, and the Smith & Wesson one occasionally. I have pretty much migrated here and left those others because of the firearms experience and the respect people have for each other.

    Stay safe.

Some of us were on TFL before we moved over to THR……

There’s a history behind that but we’ll keep it right there in the past.
